MEET THE TEAM
MARK
I grew up alongside 2 Golden Labradors, starting at the age of 13 (which was
all the way back in 2002).
Since then my love of dogs, and training them, has grown and grown.
As I got older I always had it in mind to start a dog training company and see where things could lead.
After a motorcycle accident, which left me with some minor injuries, I decided it was the right time.
The everyday face of Aspenneo Dog Training, I will be the one attending training sessions and responding to messages; I look forward to meeting you and your pups!
KRISTY
Growing up around dogs belonging to others, I always got heavily involved in training from a very young age.
After begging my parents for years, we got our first Border Terrier in 2005, when I was 10; and our second 2 years later.
Despite working in a very different industry, my love of training animals and their nutritional care is still great, especially when the situation is a little trickier than usual!
Usually keeping everything ticking behind the scenes, I look forward to meeting some of you for a complimentary Nutrition Session should you wish to book one!
AJAX
Born in October 2019,
Ajax is our German Pinscher;
a rare breed, used to create both the Doberman and Min-Pin.
Originally developed as a working dog to hunt and kill vermin, they are now considered an all rounder, in both work and as a family pet.
Despite coming from a show line,
Ajax is highly intelligent, and knows exactly how to get his way.
He is a versatile dog - enjoying long hikes, training , and sleeping under the duvet !
Being purely Raw fed allows us to
control his nutritional intake,
vital as he has a very rare allergy.
TYR
Born in February 2022,
Tyr is our Belgian Malinois;
a breed dating back to the Middle Ages.
Their physical attributes equip them to be excellent herding dogs; they are agile, fast, lightly built yet robust.
Commonly used as service dogs and by the police and armed forces;
they are highly intelligent and not for novice owners.
We are still learning about Tyr as he is only a puppy, but he is progressing quickly and happily tormenting his older brother!
Tyr is also Raw fed, though purely for
the benefits of it rather than due to any allergies!
HOW WE WORK
As Balanced Trainers, we have access to all four quadrants of Dog Training. This allows us to use whichever method is best for each individual dog and owner,
depending on their needs.
All too often, dogs are put to sleep due to Dog Trainers being limited to only one quadrant or 'style' of training, such as 'Positive Only Trainers', and 'Wolf Pack Theory'.
No matter what problems you may have with your dog(s), every training programme we offer will start with the basics, allowing you to rebuild your training relationship. This will help create longer lasting results towards the end of your customised training programme.
As part of your package, there will be socialising sessions built in, with our boy Ajax; as well as the opportunity to join community walks with our other clients from time-to-time.
It is our goal, to improve the lives of the owner and their family, but most importantly their dog, no matter what their issues may be.

WHAT WE OFFER
For all new enquiries, we will come to your for a free, no obligation, home consultation!
After your first visit consultation, we will send you a customised proposed Training Plan and a Total Cost.
All sessions will primarily be based at your home, as this is where your dog will feel most comfortable,
and will provide an environment with minimal distractions.
PUPPY TRAINING
We will help teach your pup and yourselves how to handle puppy behaviours.
As the sessions go on we will arrange meet ups with some other clients to give controlled exposure to other dogs.
ADVANCED TRAINING
This is a follow on from the puppy socialisation and
training course.
Time to step up a gear and get some advanced training in!
1-1 SESSIONS
Does your dog have a specific issue that you want to work them through?
1-1 sessions are the best way to provide focus training specific to the issue at hand.
AGGRESSION ISSUES
Is your pet territory, food, people or dog aggressive?
This package will investigate the cause for any aggression, and work towards alleviating it!
FIREWORK ANXIETY
Does your dog get scared and panic when the fireworks start?
Let us help you get them over their fear!
Sessions must start at least
2 months before expected fireworks.
